New Year, New Stuff

Hey everyone, happy belated new year! I’ve had a lot of stuff happen in the past few months, but I’ll be adding a plethora of new songs to the site soon. I wanted to go over my plans for the site for this year in this post. Hopefully I can complete it all.

For songs, I want to bring the total number songs on the site to at least 1500+. I think I could eventually reach 2000+, but let’s keep it conservative for now. This will be interesting, because there are actually some songs I am looking to remove the from the list as I don’t think they are too great. Find out what those might be on the next update!

For features, I have quite a few things I would like to add to the site. Here’s a list of some of them:

• Ability for users to select only their favorite songs for the queue
• Ability to play songs from only certain series
• Ability to sort by genre of songs (this one will be difficult)
• Chrome plugin so you can listen to the playlist wherever you are, instead of dedicating a tab for it
• Organize the playlist by title
• Have a feature that lets you click a letter, and it’ll bring the list to those games immediately
• Perhaps a search function?

I also want to start making theme playlists. These would eventually be something like chill.zvgp.net or similar, and would have songs that evoke that theme. The underlying playlist code is there, so I would just need to pick out songs and themes to make different playlists, and probably some sort of navigation to get to them.
